Inversions

The sixth book in the Culture series is, in the author's own words "an attempt to write a Culture novel that wasn't". The pace of the story was much quicker than many other Culture novels, which made it easier to follow at one level. At a deeper level however, it was a really clever story with lots of hints at Culture's involvement, but nothing more. As usual, I read discussions online to see how much I had missed. I had missed a lot. Well worth a read and follow up on the internet.
